I gave a speech on A Business Case for FreeBSD at BSDCon
Europe 2001. It was fairly well received, and for my first
public speaking exercise, I don't think I botched it too
badly :)
I gave a modified version of this speech at the UKUUG
Winterconf 2002. It was much better received mostly due to
the fact that I wasn't absolutely petrified while giving
it.
At the moment, only the presentation slides that I used are
available for download. I am putting some more white papers
and comparison details together for download and review.
The slides from UKUUG Winterconf 2002 are available in PDF
format which should make them accessible to more people.
This version of the slides is more professional and I would
advise using this version.
The slides from BSDCon 2001 for "A Business case for
FreeBSD" are in .sdd (Star Impress 5.0 format) and were
created with StarOffice 5.2.
These should give you an idea of the benefits that can be
reaped by a move to FreeBSD.
